Clear Pool Water Ripples — Render a House

Original procedurally authored seamless PBR material. No third-party textures.

REAL-WORLD SCALE
One UV tile (U/V from 0 to 1) covers 2 × 2 metres.
For a 3 metre wide surface, use 1.5000 repeats across its width.
Every map is 2048 × 2048 pixels; set the image extension/wrap mode to Repeat.

MAPS
- color: water-color.jpg (sRGB)
- normal: water-normal.png (Non-Color)
- roughness: water-roughness.jpg (Non-Color)

Use the color map as sRGB. All other maps are linear / Non-Color data.
The normal is tangent-space OpenGL (+Y/green up), lossless 8-bit RGB PNG.
Invert its green channel only for applications requiring DirectX normals.
Roughness is white=rough, black=smooth (not a glossiness map).
PNG normals avoid block artifacts on grain, weave, masonry and small aggregate.
Color JPG quality 88; roughness/height grayscale JPG quality 92.

No displacement map is needed for this material; use the normal for surface detail.

Shader: transmission=1, metallic=0, IOR=1.333. Use a pool bed below it.
Color includes art-directed pool caustics for a readable pool-water texture.
For physically clear water, replace that color with near-white and retain the ripple normal.
