Magnific AI Pricing 2026: Premium ($16), Premium+ ($37) & Pro ($90)

Magnific costs $16/mo for Premium, $37/mo for Premium+, or $90/mo for Pro, all billed monthly. Pay annually and those drop to $11, $27.50, and $66.92 a month. There is no free plan.

Magnific AI Pricing 2026: Premium ($16), Premium+ ($37) & Pro ($90)

Those three numbers only tell half the story. Magnific is not a standalone upscaler with its own price list anymore — it is what Freepik became on April 28, 2026, when the stock-photo company folded its whole AI platform, including the Magnific upscaler it bought in 2024, under one brand and one credit system. Every plan below buys a shared pool of credits across image, video, and audio generation, with upscaling as one feature drawing from the same pool, not a separate purchase.

Prices below come from Magnific's own pricing page, read directly in a live browser session on September 7, 2026. They exclude VAT and local taxes, which Magnific adds at checkout depending on billing country.

Pro$90 / mo$66.92 / mo$803.04 / yr1,500,000 / yr

The credits-per-year column is the number that actually decides the plan. Everything on Magnific — a Nano Banana image, a Seedance video clip, an upscale through Magnific's own model or, on Premium+ and above, the bundled Topaz one — is metered against that single yearly pool. The Pro row uses the 1.5 million figure printed on Magnific's own plan card; a separate table further down its pricing page implies the real pool for most models is closer to 4 million, and the credit math section below shows the arithmetic.

Is Magnific still Freepik?

Magnific AI was an independent upscaler until May 2024, when Freepik acquired it and ran it as a separate product alongside its own stock-photo and generation tools. That changed on April 28, 2026, when Freepik rebranded its entire platform — stock assets, image and video generation, and the Magnific upscaler — as Magnific, moving everything to magnific.com.

This is not a cosmetic rename. Visiting freepik.com or the old magnific.ai domain now redirects straight to magnific.com, and the site's own footer still reads "Copyright © 2010-2026 Freepik Company S.L.U." — the same legal entity that has run Freepik since 2010, trading under a new name. The company reported over $230 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 1 million paying subscribersat the time of the rebrand, so this is Freepik's main business wearing the Magnific name, not a side project.

The practical effect for pricing: there is now one set of plans for the whole platform, not a separate Magnific upscaler price and a separate Freepik subscription. If you find an older guide quoting a standalone "Magnific AI" price list from before April 2026, or describing Magnific and Freepik as two different products, it predates the merge and no longer matches what ships at checkout.

It also means the upscaler technology itself did not necessarily change — Magnific's enlargement and detail models are the same lineage the standalone tool built its reputation on — but the commercial container around it did. Before 2026, someone who wanted only the upscaler could buy it on its own terms. After the rebrand, upscaling is a feature inside a general creative subscription, and there is no way to purchase it in isolation from Magnific directly. That is the single most important thing this page has to say before any price comparison: if you are shopping for an upscaler specifically, you are now shopping for a whole platform whether you need the rest of it or not.

What each individual plan includes

Premium — $16/mo

The entry tier: access to every image, video, and audio model on the platform, Magnific's own image and video upscalers, 250 million+ stock assets, a commercial AI licence, and 240,000 credits a year. Note what is nothere — the Topaz upscaler is a Premium+ feature, and Premium's licence covers AI content but not music rights. Using the vendor's own reference figure of 150 credits per image at 4K resolution, that pool works out to roughly 1,600 images a year, or about 255 videos a year at 940 credits per 4-second clip on their entry video model. Cheaper, lower-resolution models stretch further — a 1K image on the same family costs half that many credits.

Premium+ — $37/mo

Premium+ adds two things Premium does not have: genuinely unlimited generationson roughly 30 specific models at specific resolutions (Nano Banana 2 at 1K among them at the time of writing — the same model at 2K is unlimited only on Pro, and at 4K it is metered on every plan), and Topaz's upscaler alongside Magnific's own — Magnific's plan cards read "Magnific image & video upscalers" on Premium and "Magnific & Topaz upscalers" from Premium+ up, and Magnific's own tooltip splits the work as Magnific for images, Topaz for video. The 600,000-credit yearly pool still applies to everything outside that unlimited list — Ideogram, GPT Image, and Krea all still draw it down per generation. Music rights are also added here, which Premium does not include.

Pro — $90/mo

Pro keeps everything in Premium+ and the plan card headlines it at 1.5 million credits a year— about six times Premium's allocation. Read Magnific's own model-by-model comparison table further down the same pricing page, though, and the number implied for Pro is different: every credit-metered model we checked — Ideogram 2K High, GPT Image 2.0 Mid, Krea 2, Luma Uni-1.1, and Nano Banana 2 at 4K — lists a Pro image count that divides out to exactly 4,000,000 credits, not 1.5 million. Krea 2 at 80 credits/image is priced at 50,000 images for Pro (4,000,000 ÷ 80 = 50,000); Luma Uni-1.1 at 140 credits/image comes out to 28,571 images (4,000,000 ÷ 140 ≈ 28,571) — both consistent with a 4-million pool and not a 1.5-million one.

Magnific's own pricing page does not resolve which figure is the true account limit, so treat Pro's real yearly allowance as somewhere between 1.5M and 4M credits depending on which part of the page you read, and confirm the actual balance in-account before budgeting a Pro seat against a specific volume of work.

Magnific pricing for teams: Business and Enterprise

Magnific sells a separate Teams tab with two tiers. Business is priced per seat, for 2 to 100 users on one shared credit pool; Enterprise is quote-only.

PlanMonthlyAnnualSeatsNotes
Business$69 / seat / mo$55 / seat / mo, billed annually2–100 (custom count)Shared team credit pool, starts at 1,080,000 credits/yr
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimitedCustom credit pool, dedicated CSM, SSO, 3-year credit rollover

Business adds things no individual plan has: basic legal indemnification for AI-generated content, SSO, centralized admin controls, and a shared credit pool the whole team draws from rather than per-seat allowances. Enterprise adds a 3-year credit rollover instead of one year, custom SSO, and a dedicated customer success manager.

Is there a free Magnific plan?

No. Reading Magnific's pricing page directly, the only free item listed is "Free stock content" — a smaller, lower-quality tier of the stock library, explicitly contrasted with the "Premium stock content" every paid plan unlocks. There is no free tier, trial credit allowance, or trial period for image, video, or upscaling generation shown anywhere on the current pricing page.

That is a real change from how Freepik used to operate, and from how most AI image tools position themselves — including Render a House's own image upscaler, which gives every account 3 free credits a day before asking for a card. If a free Magnific tier mattered to your decision, budget for the cheapest paid plan instead — Premium at $132 a year is the actual floor.

What a Magnific credit actually buys

Every plan is sold on a headline credit number, but the number of images or videos that credit pool actually buys depends entirely on which model you use. Two mechanics matter more than the total:

  • Resolution multiplies cost. The same model family can cost 60, 75, or 150 credits per image depending on whether the output is 1K, 2K, or 4K — a 4K image can cost 2.5× a 1K one on an otherwise identical model.
  • "Unlimited" is model- and resolution-specific, not plan-wide. Premium+ and Pro advertise unlimited generations, and that claim is genuine — but only for a rotating shortlist of roughly 30 models, and only at the resolutions Magnific names. Nano Banana 2 is unlimited at 1K on Premium+, at 2K only on Pro, and never at 4K. Everything else, including several of the higher-quality options like GPT Image, is still metered against the yearly credit pool.

The practical upshot: two accounts on the same Premium+ plan can have wildly different effective costs per image depending on which models they actually use, which makes the advertised "4,000 images a year" figure a ceiling for one set of models and closer to a floor for another. Here is that arithmetic worked out for five real, credit-metered models, straight from Magnific's own comparison table:

ModelCostPremium (240K)Premium+ (600K)
Nano Banana 2 (2K)75 credits/image3,200 images8,000 images
Ideogram 2K High44 credits/image5,454 images13,636 images
GPT Image 2.0 Mid (2K)400 credits/image600 images1,500 images
Krea 280 credits/image3,000 images7,500 images
Luma Uni-1.1140 credits/image1,714 images4,285 images

A cheaper model such as Ideogram 2K High stretches a Premium account past 5,400 images a year; an expensive one such as GPT Image 2.0 Mid caps the same plan at 600. Neither figure is wrong — they are both true of the same $16/mo subscription, depending entirely on which model you point it at.

Costs beyond the Magnific subscription

The subscription is the whole bill for most Magnific users — there is no separate purchase required to unlock upscaling, the way there sometimes is with dedicated tools. Two costs still sit outside the sticker price.

Running out of credits mid-year. Magnific lets you top up credits at any point rather than forcing an upgrade, but that top-up is priced separately from the plan and is an easy line item to miss when budgeting a year of Pro against a year of Premium+.

Paying for a generation suite to get one feature. If upscaling is the only thing you need, Premium's $16/mo buys a lot of image and video generation capability you may never touch. A tool scoped to just upscaling — Topaz Photo AI, or Render a House's image upscaler — is priced for that one job instead of a whole creative suite.

The real cost of a year on Magnific

Putting the numbers above together, here is what a year actually costs at four common setups. Magnific figures are its own list prices; the Render a House row uses the same published plan prices as the image upscaler page.

SetupWhat is in itTotal
Occasional upscales, one personMagnific Premium, annual$132 / yr
Heavy generation workflow, one personMagnific Premium+, annual$330 / yr
Three-person studio on Magnific BusinessBusiness × 3 seats, annual: $55 × 3 × 12$1,980 / yr
Three-person studio on Render a House StudioStudio plan × $99/mo × 12$1,188 / yr

The jump from a solo Premium account to a three-seat Business team is roughly 15×, almost entirely from the per-seat pricing rather than from any change in what a single generation costs.

Magnific pricing compared to alternatives

Credit where it is due: Magnific's breadth is genuinely hard to match at $16/mo — no other tool in this comparison bundles image generation, video generation, and two separate upscalers into one subscription. The trade-off is that none of it is priced or built specifically for architectural or interior images.

ToolPriceNotes
Magnific Premium$16 / mo · $132 / yrGeneral image/video suite; upscaling shares the same 240,000-credit pool as everything else
Magnific Premium+$37 / mo · $330 / yrAdds the Topaz upscaler alongside Magnific's own, still one shared pool
Topaz Photo AI (Personal)$39 / mo · $199 / yr prepaidLocal desktop app, dedicated to photo enhancement, no shared credit pool
Render a HouseFree · $39–$99 / moBrowser-based, built for architectural and interior images; 3 free upscales a day, no desktop install

The table above also shows how thin the "save 25% with annual" banner is on some tiers. Recomputing the discount from Magnific's own monthly and annual-equivalent prices gives a different picture per plan:

PlanMonthlyAnnual (per mo)Actual discount
Premium$16$1131.3%
Premium+$37$27.5025.7%
Pro$90$66.9225.6%
Business$69$5520.3%

Premium's annual rate is actually 31.3% off the monthly price — deeper than the generic "25%" banner shown on the pricing page. Premium+, Pro, and Business all land close to the advertised figure. It is a small discrepancy, but it means the entry tier is the best annual value on the page by a wider margin than Magnific's own marketing states.

When Magnific pricing makes financial sense

Magnific's pricing makes the most sense for someone already producing a mix of image and video content who would otherwise be paying for several separate subscriptions — a stock library, an image generator, a video generator, and an upscaler. Folded into one $16-to-$90 range, Magnific is cheaper than buying those four things individually almost anywhere else, and the unlimited-generation models on Premium+ and Pro remove the anxiety of metering everyday work.

It also makes sense for a team that specifically wants Business's shared credit pool and admin controls rather than juggling individual seats — three or more people who all touch image and video generation regularly are the intended buyer for that tier, not a solo user.

When to consider an alternative

The math above stops favoring Magnific the moment upscaling — specifically upscaling architectural or interior imagery — is the only job. Paying $16/mo minimum for a shared credit pool across dozens of generation models, when the actual need is enlarging renders for a presentation board, is buying access to far more than gets used.

It is also worth reconsidering Magnific if the free-plan absence is a dealbreaker, if a desktop app that works offline matters more than a browser-based credit system (Topaz's case), or if the work is specifically architectural and a purpose-built tool would rather have the model tuned for that content than a general-purpose one. That is the case Render a House's image upscaler makes: fewer models, one job, priced for that job alone.

What AI upscaling cannot fix

This applies to Magnific's upscaler, Topaz, and any other AI upscaling model, including our own — the underlying technology has the same ceiling regardless of vendor.

  • It cannot recover detail that was never captured. A blurry or heavily compressed source photo gets sharper edges and more plausible texture, not the fine detail a better camera or a higher-resolution render would have produced in the first place.
  • It cannot fix geometry. A rendering with a warped perspective, a misaligned wall, or an incorrect proportion comes out of the upscaler at a larger size with the same mistake, only more visible.
  • It cannot guarantee an exact final resolution. A 2x or 4x multiplier is applied to whatever dimensions the source image has — a small crop upscaled 4x is still smaller than a full-frame image upscaled 2x.
  • It cannot reliably reconstruct small text or dimension annotations. Floor plan labels, scale bars, and callouts are exactly the kind of fine, high-frequency detail AI upscalers are least reliable at, because the model is estimating plausible pixels rather than reading characters.

None of that makes upscaling a bad tool — it makes it a finishing step, not a substitute for a better source image or a re-render when the underlying scene is wrong.

Is Magnific AI worth the cost?

For a team already using Magnific for image and video generation, upscaling is close to free — it rides on a credit pool you are already paying for, and Premium+ throws in Topaz on top. Judged purely as a creative-generation subscription, $16 to $90 a month for access to dozens of image, video, and audio models plus two upscalers is a genuinely strong deal, and there is no honest way to write this page without saying so.

The calculation changes if upscaling — specifically upscaling architectural, interior, or presentation imagery — is the actual job. Magnific's cheapest plan is not priced for that one task; it is priced for a whole creative suite, and none of its models are tuned for architectural output the way Render a House's image upscaler is. Render a House starts at 3 free upscales a day, with paid plans at $39/mo or $99/mo for higher volume, and it runs entirely in the browser alongside the rest of an architectural rendering workflow rather than inside a general-purpose creative suite.

If you are weighing upscalers specifically rather than full creative platforms, Topaz AI pricing covers the dedicated desktop alternative in the same detail as this page.

Common questions about Magnific AI pricing

Is Magnific the same company as Freepik?

Yes. Freepik acquired the original Magnific AI upscaler in May 2024, and on April 28, 2026, Freepik rebranded its entire platform — the stock library, the AI generation tools, and the upscaler — under the Magnific name at magnific.com. The site's own footer still reads "Copyright © 2010-2026 Freepik Company S.L.U." — it is the same legal entity trading under a new brand, not two products bundled together.

How much does Magnific AI cost?

Individual plans are Premium at $16/month ($11/month billed annually), Premium+ at $37/month ($27.50/month billed annually), and Pro at $90/month ($66.92/month billed annually). Team seats start at $69/month per user, or $55/month per user billed annually, for 2 to 100 users. All prices exclude VAT and local taxes.

Is there a free plan for Magnific AI?

Not for generation or upscaling. Magnific's current pricing page lists Premium, Premium+, and Pro as paid-only individual plans, with no free tier or trial listed. "Free stock content" refers to a separate library of stock assets, not a free allowance of AI credits. Older guides describing a free Magnific or Freepik generation tier predate the April 2026 rebrand and are out of date.

What does "unlimited" mean on the Magnific plans?

Premium+ and Pro both advertise unlimited generations, but it applies to a rotating list of roughly 30 models at specific resolutions, not to a model outright. Nano Banana 2 is the clearest example: at 1K it is unlimited on Premium+, at 2K it is unlimited only on Pro (Premium+ gets about 8,000 images from its credit pool), and at 4K it is metered on every plan. Every model outside that list, including Ideogram and GPT Image, draws down the yearly credit pool per generation at any resolution.

What's the difference between Magnific and Topaz for upscaling?

Topaz Photo AI is a standalone desktop app dedicated to photo and image enhancement, priced separately from any generation tool, starting at $39/month or $199/year prepaid. Magnific bundles its own upscaler and, on Premium+ and Pro, Topaz's upscaler too, but both draw from the same shared credit pool as every image and video model on the platform — there is no way to buy just the upscaler on its own.

Is Magnific AI worth it just for upscaling?

Only if you also want the rest of the platform. Magnific's cheapest plan is $16/month for a shared credit pool across dozens of generation models plus the upscaler, so a buyer who only needs to enlarge and sharpen images is paying for a lot they will not use. A tool scoped to upscaling alone, like Render a House's image upscaler or Topaz Photo AI, is the cheaper route to that one job.
