The short answer

The short answer.

Pick Rendair if you want one browser tool that creates, edits, upscales and animates from any image, with fast single images and queue skipping on Pro. Pick Visoid if you model in SketchUp, Revit or Archicad and want to send views straight from the CAD app, place the design on its site and test materials early.

If the real job is turning a 3D model or a sketch into a render, Render a House is the alternative: upload a GLB, OBJ, sketch or screenshot in a browser, with no GPU and no plugin, and get a concept image in about 30–60 seconds, free for 3 renders a day. Last updated: September 25, 2026.

Rendair

Where Rendair is better.

Rendair calls itself an all-in-one AI tool for architects and designers. Three places it genuinely leads.

One tool from first image to video

Creation, region editing, upscaling, video and a chat assistant share one web app and one credit balance, with the cost shown before you confirm.

Faster single images

Rendair's FAQ puts a standard image at about 5–25 seconds, and Pro and Studio Pro skip the queue. That is quicker than Visoid or Render a House.

Private mode and a commercial licence

From Pro up, generations are private by default and, per Rendair, uploads are not used to train its models. Pro includes the commercial licence.

Visoid

Where Visoid is better.

Visoid was built by architects for the design stage. Three places it genuinely leads.

Add-ons inside the CAD app

Visoid publishes add-ons for Revit, SketchUp and Archicad, so a view goes from the model to the renderer without an export step.

Site, references and materials

Place the model on its site through Google Maps, feed in a moodboard of reference images, and compare cladding or finishes side by side.

A real free plan, cheaper annual pricing

The $0 plan needs no credit card. Billed annually, Pro drops from $29 to $15 a month and Premium from $79 to $39.

By scenario

Which should you choose?.

The right pick depends less on image quality than on where your model lives and what you deliver.

A small practice on SketchUp or Revit

Visoid. Its add-ons keep rendering inside the modelling tool, and the site and material features suit early design.

A studio that edits and animates a lot

Rendair. Editing, upscaling and video share one credit balance, and Pro skips the queue.

Mixed CAD software, any hardware

Render a House. Upload a GLB, OBJ, sketch or screenshot in a browser, with no plugin and no GPU.

Testing before you pay

Visoid's free plan or Render a House's 3 renders a day. Rendair's 20 trial credits judge quality, not a project.

Render a House

Render a House, the alternative for 3D model or sketch to render.

Rendair is an image-first suite and Visoid a CAD-connected renderer. Render a House sits between them: it reads the model file or the sketch itself, in a browser, and returns a concept render.

What you get

3D integration

Where your modelling software exports a mesh, upload it and set the camera in the browser, then render from that view.

Rendering

Photorealism in seconds rather than a queued calculation you leave running over lunch.

Video

A camera move across the same project, generated from a finished still. Nothing to animate.

Design

Try materials, light and surroundings until the version you want exists, without touching the source model.

Refinement

Fix one part of a render — a facade panel, a tree, a sky — without starting the image again.

Precision

Your geometry is respected: the walls, openings, heights and proportions you drew in your modelling software stay where you put them.

Collaborative

Share a link and take comments on the image itself, so feedback lands on the render rather than in an email thread.

Mobile and web

Runs in the browser, on the machine you have open, including a laptop that would struggle with a local render engine.

4K

Delivery resolution, ready to print or put on a board without a separate upscaling step.

Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects, interior designers and real estate. Upload a GLB, GLTF or OBJ, a sketch or a screenshot of a SketchUp, Revit, Archicad or Rhino view, describe the scene, and a render comes back in about 30–60 seconds on any machine, with commercial use allowed.

What Render a House cannot do.

  • Give you a live viewport. It returns still images, not a scene you navigate.
  • Produce BIM data or measured drawings. Geometry is generally preserved but can shift, so check it against the model.
  • Run as a plugin inside SketchUp, Revit or Archicad like Visoid's add-ons. You export and upload.
  • Replace a final production render. It is built for concept images and fast iteration.

The verdict

The verdict.

Rendair and Visoid are both good at different jobs. Rendair is the better all-round image studio: faster single images, editing, upscaling and video in one place, with privacy and a commercial licence from Pro. Visoid is the better design-stage renderer for a practice that lives in SketchUp, Revit or Archicad, with a real free plan and much cheaper annual pricing.

If what you actually need is a 3D model or a sketch turned into a concept render, without installing an add-on or owning a GPU, try Render a House first. It is slower per image than Rendair and has no CAD plugin like Visoid, but it reads the model file directly and costs nothing for 3 renders a day.

Common questions about Rendair and Visoid.

Is Rendair better than Visoid?

Rendair is better for editing, upscaling and video in one web app; Visoid is better for rendering straight from SketchUp, Revit or Archicad. Rendair is also faster per image, at about 5–25 seconds per its FAQ.

Is Rendair free?

Not permanently. New Rendair users get 20 Chat credits to test the platform, and after that a paid plan is required, starting with Starter at $19 a month. Visoid has a $0 plan with up to 10 watermarked 1K images, and Render a House gives 3 free renders a day.

Does Visoid have a SketchUp plugin?

Yes. Visoid's add-ons page lists downloads for SketchUp, Revit and Archicad, and its homepage also names Rhino and Miro.

Do Rendair or Visoid need a powerful GPU?

Rendair does not: its FAQ says processing runs on its servers and you do not need a powerful GPU. Visoid runs as a web app with CAD add-ons, but it does not publish a GPU requirement. Render a House also runs in a browser with no GPU, Mac included.

Can I use Rendair or Visoid without a 3D model?

Yes, both accept images. Rendair works from sketches, drawings, photos or a text prompt, and Visoid can render from a sketch or an uploaded image. Render a House accepts sketches, floor plans and photos too, as well as GLB, GLTF and OBJ models.

What is the best alternative to Rendair and Visoid?

Render a House, if the job is turning a 3D model or a sketch into a concept render in a browser. It reads GLB, GLTF and OBJ files directly, needs no GPU or plugin, and returns an image in about 30–60 seconds.

Have a model or a sketch? Render it now.

Upload a GLB, OBJ, sketch or screenshot and see a concept render in about a minute. No plugin, no GPU.
