Fusion 360 Pricing 2026: Fusion ($85/mo or $680/yr), Manufacturing ($2,040/yr) & Design ($2,190/yr)

Autodesk Fusion (formerly Fusion 360) costs $85 a month billed monthly or $680 a year billed annually (about $57 a month). The two upgraded editions, Fusion for Manufacturing and Fusion for Design, are $2,040 and $2,190 a year. A limited personal-use version and the education plans are free, and every paid plan has a 30-day trial. For architecture, Render a House is the more efficient alternative: it renders from your own design in the browser with no GPU; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Fusion 360 Pricing 2026: Fusion ($85/mo or $680/yr), Manufacturing ($2,040/yr) & Design ($2,190/yr)

Quick answer

Quick answer: Autodesk Fusion is $85/mo billed monthly, $680/yr billed annually, or $2,040 for 3 years paid as three annual payments. Fusion for Manufacturing is $2,040/yr and Fusion for Design is $2,190/yr, per Autodesk’s Fusion plans and pricing page. Fusion for personal use is free for non-commercial hobbyists earning under $1,000 a year, and students and educators get Fusion free. If what you need is an architectural render of a design you already modeled, Render a House is the more efficient alternative for architecture, a no-GPU, browser-based option, free to start with 3 credits a day; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

The $85 monthly and $680 annual Fusion prices are listed on Autodesk’s Fusion for personal use page; the 3-year terms and the Manufacturing and Design prices come from the term selector on the Fusion overview page, which offers only 1-year and 3-year terms for those two editions. Volume or enterprise pricing: Not published (checked October 2026).

What each Fusion plan includes

Autodesk Fusion — $85/mo or $680/yr

The base subscription covers integrated CAD and CAM, real-time team collaboration, PCB design with electromechanical integration, drawing automation and design configurations. Compared with the free personal version, Autodesk’s personal-use page adds comprehensive CAM, multi-user data management, all import and export file types, Bill of Materials, cloud rendering, and phone, email, forum and in-product support. The comparison table also lists unlimited active and editable documents and up to 999 sheets per schematic with 64 signal layers. It is one named user per subscription; Autodesk calls it best for early-stage teams and makers.

Fusion for Manufacturing — $2,040/yr

Everything in Fusion plus 2D to full 5-axis machining, toolpathing for milling, turning and turn-mill, automated CAM programming, in-process inspection and probing, and editable post-processors, per the Fusion for Manufacturing page. At $2,040/yr it is three times the base plan.

Fusion for Design — $2,190/yr

Everything in Fusion plus 10 additional simulation types, generative design, advanced mesh editing and surfacing, additional plastic rules for designs, and integrated lifecycle management (PLM), per the Fusion for Design page. It is the most expensive edition at $2,190/yr.

Monthly vs annual vs 3-year math

Paying monthly costs $85 × 12 = $1,020 a year, so annual billing at $680 saves $340, or one-third. The break-even is eight months: eight months at $85 is $680, the price of a full year, so annual wins for anyone who needs Fusion for more than eight months.

The 3-year term does not lower the yearly price. Fusion is $2,040 for 3 years paid as three annual payments, which is exactly 3 × $680; Manufacturing ($6,120) and Design ($6,570) are also exactly three times their annual price. What you get is a price lock: Autodesk advertises “lock in your price for 3 years” on the purchase box.

Short-term promotions change the math. Autodesk’s overview page was running a “buy more, save more” offer of 25% off two and 33% off three new 1-year subscriptions bought together, valid from 12 to 30 October 2026, commercial copies only, and not for renewals. The extensions page separately advertised four Fusion subscriptions for the price of three, with no end date shown.

Free plan, trial and startup pricing

Fusion for personal use is free for 1 year for qualifying users, per Autodesk’s personal-use FAQ. It is for home-based, non-commercial projects only, by individuals generating less than $1,000 USD a year, and not for primary employment, company environments or commercial training. It has limited CAM, single-user data management, limited PCB design (2 sheets per schematic, 4 signal layers), limited drawings, limited import and export file types, and forum support only. Users who go over $1,000 or start commercial work must switch to a paid subscription.

Free trial: Autodesk’s trial page offers 30 days of Fusion with all capabilities and features, and store purchases carry an up to 30-day money-back guarantee.

Startups: per the Fusion for startups page, approved startups pay $150 per user for 3 years, for up to 10 users. Eligibility requires a registered company that designs or manufactures physical products and has never subscribed to Fusion. Service providers, consultants and design agencies are excluded, so an architecture practice selling design services is unlikely to qualify.

Student and educator pricing

Figures from Autodesk’s Fusion for education page, which says Fusion is free for eligible students and educators at qualified institutions and runs on Mac, PC and Chromebook. Education licenses may be used solely for educational purposes, not commercial, professional or for-profit work, so a student freelancing on the side needs a paid or personal-use license.

What costs extra

Fusion users can add extensions on top of a subscription. List prices on Autodesk’s extensions page:

Autodesk Fusion extension prices, October 2026
ExtensionPriceWhat it adds
Manufacturing Extension$1,465 / yrMore 3- and 5-axis strategies, toolpath optimization, process automation
Simulation Extension$1,465 / yrAdditional simulation study types
Design Extension$595 / yrAdvanced 3D design and automated modeling tools
Fusion Manage$1,115 / yrConfigurable PLM processes, BOMs, change and release

Monthly prices for extensions: Not published (checked October 2026). Hardware is the other cost. Autodesk’s system requirements ask for a DirectX 12-capable GPU on Windows and recommend 32 GB+ of RAM and 8 GB+ of dedicated graphics memory for larger designs; on Mac, Fusion will require Apple silicon at the end of March 2027. An internet connection is required for its cloud services.

When Fusion makes sense

  • You design and make physical products. Fusion’s value is CAD, CAM, simulation and PCB in one subscription, for work like CNC parts, furniture details or 3D-printed models.
  • You are a hobbyist or a student. The free personal-use and education plans cover a lot of real work, as long as you stay inside their non-commercial terms.
  • You want monthly flexibility. Only the base Fusion plan is sold month to month at $85; use it for a short project, then switch to annual if it sticks.

When to consider an alternative

Autodesk positions Fusion as a design-to-manufacturing platform for product teams, machinists and electronics engineers, not as architecture software, and its cloud rendering is one feature of the paid plan rather than a dedicated architectural renderer. If your goal is a photorealistic image of a building or interior you already designed, paying $680 a year for CAM and PCB tools you will not use is hard to justify.

Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and renders from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp file directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG or JPG. Large images are downscaled automatically, and a render takes about 30 to 60 seconds.

It is free with 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark and no card. Pro is $39/mo billed monthly or $312/yr ($26/mo billed annually). A 1K render costs 1 credit and 4K, available only on Pro, costs 2. Video is on paid plans only, each render gets up to 2 free retries if it comes out wrong, and help is available through the in-app chat and the support page. There are no team seats or roles, but projects can be shared by email with edit access. Estimate a project with the render cost calculator or see the plans on the pricing page.
