Quick answer: Planner 5D Free is $0. Premium is $19.99 per month billed monthly or $59.99 billed annually (about $5 a month). What each Planner 5D plan includes
Free — $0
Unlimited projects, shared across web and mobile, with 50% of the furniture catalog. The help center calls this the Basic plan: floors and walls can be customized, custom textures can be uploaded without limit, and you can take unlimited screenshots, which Planner 5D labels draft renders. Floor-plan upload is not included; Planner 5D’s upload guide says the feature is available only on paid plans.
Premium — $19.99/mo or $59.99/yr
Everything in Free plus floor-plan upload with AI recognition into an editable 3D project, the full catalog of 10,000+ furniture items, 3D models created from photos, standard renders and a Budget Widget, per the pricing page. The pricing page does not give a render count. The Subscription Types article does: monthly Premium includes 5 renders and 5 textures, yearly Premium 60 renders and 60 textures, both with unlimited plan uploads. Premium is the homeowner tier, not the client-work tier.
Professional — $49.99/mo or $399.99/yr
Everything in Premium plus unlimited 4K renders, upload of your own 3D models (the pricing page lists .obj, .fbx, .blend and .stl), 360° walkthroughs and panoramas, CAD export, a Specs & Docs Organizer, a Price Estimator and a branded profile. The help center lists 4K renders without watermarks, 360° panoramas and custom 3D model uploads as web-only PRO features, and says PRO is not available on the macOS app.
Enterprise — custom
Custom pricing through sales for companies that want a white-label room planner, their own 3D product catalog, a product configurator, APIs and cart/CRM/ERP connections. No list price is published.
Annual vs monthly: the math
| Plan | 12 × monthly | Annual | You save | Annual pays off after |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $239.88 | $59.99 | $179.89 (75%) | 4 months |
| Professional | $599.88 | $399.99 | $199.89 (33%) | 9 months |
Our arithmetic on the published prices. Premium’s annual price is the bigger discount: 4 months of monthly billing ($79.96) cost more than a full year. Professional pays off from month 9. Annual Premium also carries 60 renders instead of 5 a month. Unused time is not refunded: Planner 5D’s Refund Policy says subscription fees are non-refundable unless the content is proven defective, and the cancellation guide says you must cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
AI Studio credits by plan
AI Studio is Planner 5D’s image and video workspace (render improvement, material swaps, upscaling, people, video). Per the pricing FAQ, Premium includes 100 credits with monthly billing or 1,200 with annual billing, and Professional 1,000 monthly or 12,000 annual. Planner 5D’s own guide says 100 credits make about 50 Nano Banana 2 images at 1K or about 12 five-second video clips. Its About AI Studio article says the PRO trial includes 50 credits and that monthly credits expire at the end of each 30-day cycle. Credit pack prices: Not published (checked October 2026).
Free trial: 7-day PRO, 3-day Premium
Per Planner 5D’s trial article, a 7-day PRO trial is available on web, iOS, Android and Windows, and a 3-day Premium trial on macOS and iPhone/iPad. Trials can be activated once; after that you are charged the full price. The trial converts to a paid subscription automatically, so cancel at least 1 day before it ends. The pricing page adds that eligibility and terms depend on the offer shown at checkout.
Student and education pricing
Planner 5D’s pricing FAQ says verified teachers and professors can apply for a free Education program, with verification and program limits. The Education page also says each purchased license is assigned to an individual student, and the Terms of Use say Education accounts produce watermarked renders for educational use. An individual student discount: Not published (checked October 2026).
What costs extra
- Render, texture and video-recognition packs. The Subscription Types article lists them as available for purchase; prices are Not published (checked October 2026).
- AI Studio top-ups. Extra credit packs top up the same balance, per the pricing FAQ; prices Not published (checked October 2026).
- Watermark-free and commercial use. The Terms of Use limit personal accounts to watermarked renders for personal use and give commercial accounts watermark-free renders for commercial use. Planner 5D’s watermark article ties watermark-free renders to PRO. If you bill clients, budget for Professional.
- Weekly plans in the apps. Android and iOS also sell a weekly Premium subscription; its price is Not published on the web pricing page (checked October 2026).
- Seats. No per-seat price is published. Every plan, including Free, can share a project by email or link with view or edit access, per the pricing FAQ.
When Planner 5D makes sense
Planner 5D is good value if you want to lay out and furnish a home yourself: draw rooms, try furniture and see the result in 3D on a phone or in the browser. Annual Premium at $59.99 is cheap for a renovation project, and Professional at $399.99 a year is the tier for designers who present to clients and need watermark-free 4K renders and CAD export.
When to consider an alternative
Consider an alternative when the design already exists in another tool and the bill is only for the picture. In Planner 5D a render comes from a Planner 5D project, so a finished SketchUp model has to be rebuilt or imported on Professional, and client-ready output starts at $399.99 a year.
Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and renders from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. Large images are downscaled automatically, and a render takes about 30–60 seconds.
| Planner 5D | Render a House | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | $0, 50% of the catalog, screenshots | 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, no card |
| Entry paid plan | Premium $19.99 / mo billed monthly or $59.99 / yr | Pro $39 / mo billed monthly or $312 / yr ($26 / mo billed annually) |
| What the plan buys | Design tools, catalog, 5 or 60 renders, AI Studio credits | 240 credits / mo on Pro; a 1K render costs 1 credit, 2K 1.5 |
| 4K | Professional ($49.99 / mo or $399.99 / yr) | Pro |
| Starting input | A Planner 5D project or an uploaded plan to convert | Your .skp, GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, sketch, photo or plan image |
| Video | AI Studio credits | Paid plans only |
| Bad results | Not published (checked October 2026) | Up to 2 free retries per render |
| Teams | Share by email or link, view or edit | No seats or roles; share projects by email with edit access |
Read honestly: Render a House does not draw floor plans or place furniture, so it does not replace Planner 5D for planning. Many people plan in one and render in the other. Questions go to the in-app chat or the support page; to estimate a project, use the render cost calculator, and plan details are on pricing.
