Gendo Pricing 2026: Free, Studio (£79/mo) & Studio Scale (£299/mo)
Gendo has a free plan with unlimited watermarked generations. Studio costs £79 a month billed monthly or £790 a year billed annually (£66 a month), with 5 seats included, and Studio Scale costs £299 a month, billed monthly only. In US dollars that is $100 a month or $1,000 a year for Studio and $399 a month for Studio Scale. Enterprise is custom-priced from 20 seats, and students get a free Educational plan. For architecture, Render a House is the more efficient alternative: it renders from your own design in the browser with no GPU; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Quick answer
Quick answer: Gendo costs £0 on Free, £79/mo (or £790/yr) on Studio, £299/mo on Studio Scale and a custom price on Enterprise, per Gendo’s pricing page. Image generations are unlimited on every plan; what you pay for is the watermark removal, the commercial license, 2x and 4x upscaling, private projects, team seats and video. If you need renders of your own design without a GPU and without a five-seat studio plan, Render a House is the more efficient alternative for architecture, a browser-based option that renders straight from your SketchUp or 3D model, free to start with 3 credits a day; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

What each Gendo plan includes
Free — £0
Unlimited generations with no credit card, one active project canvas, up to 50 assets per canvas, access to all of Gendo’s architecture image tools and Material Bank specification, a public share link, one free onboarding call and email support. The limits that matter: every output carries a Gendo watermark, export is 1K (1x), history keeps only 10 Image Sets, there is no video, and projects are public. Gendo’s FAQ says Free outputs are meant for personal or evaluation use.
Studio — £79/mo
£79/mo billed monthly, or £790/yr billed annually. Studio adds unlimited projects and assets, no watermark, 2x and 4x upscaling, parallel rendering, full history, multi-factor authentication, private-by-default projects, team workspaces with roles and the commercial license (client and NDA-safe). It includes up to 5 team members, unlimited free viewer seats and a one-off allowance of 15 free video seconds. Support is priority email.
Studio Scale — £299/mo
£299/mo ($399, €349), available on monthly billing only and still labelled beta. It is everything in Studio plus 5 included seats, unlimited video generation, organisation-level analytics, a custom materials catalogue, VIP onboarding and VIP support. Gendo lists more granular video controls and custom studio styles as coming soon, so do not budget for them yet.
Enterprise — custom
Custom pricing with a minimum of 20 seats. It adds SSO and user provisioning, usage analytics, a DPA and custom agreements, custom trained models and a dedicated account manager. Per Gendo’s pricing FAQ, billing can be monthly per seat or an annual agreement. The Enterprise price itself: Not published (checked October 2026).
Annual vs monthly: the math
Annual billing only exists on Studio. Gendo calls it 2 months free: you pay for 10 months and get 12.
| Currency | 12 × monthly | Annual price | Saving | Per seat / mo (5 seats, annual) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GBP | £948 | £790 | £158 (17%) | £13.20 |
| USD | $1,200 | $1,000 | $200 (17%) | $16.67 |
| EUR | €1,080 | €900 | €180 (17%) | €15 |
The per-seat column is our division of the annual price by 12 months and 5 seats, so it only holds if you fill all five. A solo architect on Studio pays the full £66–£79 a month for one person. Studio Scale has no annual option, so its £299/mo works out to £3,588 a year, or £59.80 per seat per month across the 5 included seats. Per Gendo’s pricing FAQ, upgrades are prorated and take effect immediately, and downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
What costs extra
- Extra seats. £15 a month each on Studio and £59 a month each on Studio Scale, per the pricing FAQ. USD and EUR seat prices: Not published (checked October 2026). Viewer seats are free and unlimited on every plan.
- Video seconds. Studio and Enterprise include only 15 one-off seconds. More is sold in one-time packs: 100 seconds for £40 ($54, €46), 250 for £75 ($100, €87) or 500 for £125 ($168, €144), which is £0.40, £0.30 and £0.25 a second. Packs need an active subscription and unused seconds stay available while it remains active. Studio Scale has unlimited video, so it needs no packs. Video clip length and resolution: Not published (checked October 2026).
- Tax. Every price on the page excludes applicable taxes, so UK and EU studios should add VAT.
- Fair use, not credits. Gendo’s FAQ says it uses no credit system. Its Fair Use Policy caps each seat at what one human user could reasonably do, bans bots and scripts, and lets Gendo limit prompts if usage threatens platform stability. No numeric cap is published.
Free trial, students and education
Free trial. A time-limited trial of Studio: Not published (checked October 2026). The Free plan is the way to try Gendo, with unlimited watermarked generations and no card.
Students and educators. The Educational plan is free, with multiple canvases, full AI tooling, no watermarks and 15 seconds of free video. Outputs may not be used commercially; they are for coursework, portfolios and academic projects. The educational page says .edu and .ac addresses (including .ac.uk and .ac.jp) are enrolled automatically, and educators without a supported domain can email Gendo for manual verification. The pricing FAQ mentions only .edu addresses, so if your university uses another domain, ask Gendo before you plan around it.
When Gendo makes sense, and when to look elsewhere
Gendo makes sense for a studio of three to five people who want a shared, private canvas where everyone iterates on the same images, clients get free viewer seats, and nobody counts credits. At £66 a month billed annually for up to 5 people it is good value if you fill the seats, and the free Educational plan is generous for students.
Consider an alternative when you work alone, when you want to render straight from a 3D model, or when you need video without buying packs. Gendo works on images: its FAQ describes exporting views from SketchUp, Revit or Rhino and uploading them as PNG, JPG or TIFF.
Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and renders from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp file directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. Large images are downscaled automatically. Renders take about 30–60 seconds, a bad render gets up to 2 free retries, and support is an Intercom chat inside the app plus the support page.
| Gendo | Render a House | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Unlimited watermarked generations, 1 canvas, 1K export | 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, no card |
| Entry paid plan | Studio £79/mo billed monthly or £790/yr ($100 or $1,000) | Pro $39/mo billed monthly or $312/yr ($26/mo billed annually) |
| How usage is counted | Unlimited images under a Fair Use Policy | 240 credits/mo on Pro; a 1K render is 1 credit, 4K is 2 (Pro only) |
| Video | 15 one-off seconds on Studio, then packs from £40; unlimited on Studio Scale | Paid plans only, 0.8 credits per second |
| Team | Up to 5 team members on Studio, roles, free viewer seats | No team seats or roles; projects can be shared by email with edit access |
| Starting input | Images (PNG, JPG, TIFF) exported from your modelling software | SketchUp .skp directly, GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, sketches, photos, plans as PNG/JPG |
Read honestly: if five people need to work on one canvas, Gendo Studio spreads £66–£79 a month across all of them, which is hard to beat per head. If it is just you and a model, Render a House Pro at $39/mo billed monthly is the smaller bill. Common questions about Gendo pricing
How much does Gendo cost?
- Gendo’s pricing page lists Free at £0, Studio at £79 a month billed monthly or £790 a year billed annually (£66 a month), and Studio Scale at £299 a month, billed monthly only. In US dollars Studio is $100 a month or $1,000 a year and Studio Scale is $399 a month. Enterprise is custom-priced with a 20-seat minimum. Prices exclude tax.
Is Gendo free?
- Yes. The Free plan gives unlimited generations with no credit card, but on one active project canvas, up to 50 assets per canvas, 1K export, a Gendo watermark and public share links only. Gendo’s FAQ says Free outputs are intended for personal or evaluation use; the commercial license starts on Studio.
Does Gendo use credits?
- No. Gendo’s FAQ says it does not use a credit system: image generations are unlimited on every plan, subject to its Fair Use Policy. Video is the metered part, sold by the second in packs of 100, 250 or 500 seconds unless you are on Studio Scale.
Is Gendo free for students?
- Yes. Gendo’s Educational plan is free for students and educators, with multiple canvases, full AI tooling, no watermarks and 15 seconds of free video, but no commercial use. The pricing and educational pages say .edu and .ac email addresses are enrolled automatically; educators without one can email Gendo for manual verification.
How many seats does Gendo Studio include?
- Studio includes up to 5 team members (you plus 4 free seats) and unlimited free viewer seats. Gendo’s pricing FAQ lists extra seats at £15 a month each on Studio and £59 a month each on Studio Scale; it does not publish those seat prices in USD or EUR.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Gendo for rendering my own model?
- If you work alone and want to render from a 3D model rather than an exported image, Render a House starts free with 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, and Pro is $39/mo billed monthly or $312/yr ($26/mo billed annually). It takes SketchUp .skp files directly, plus GLB, GLTF, OBJ and STL, in the browser with no GPU. For a five-person studio that wants a shared canvas, Gendo Studio is the better fit.
