Credit where credit is due
Twinmotion is the most generous free tier in this entire category — not a trial, not a watermark, not a feature cap. Epic’s own licensing FAQ confirms it: full features, commercial work permitted, for any individual or company under $1M in annual revenue. Most studios reading a page titled “Twinmotion alternatives” are not being asked to pay anything at all.
So this is not a page arguing Twinmotion is bad software or bad value — it is close to unbeatable on both. The GPU question
Even the free tier is not free of hardware. Twinmotion needs 16GB of RAM and a 6GB graphics card at minimum, and unlocking its Path Tracer — the mode that gets closest to a ray-traced final image — needs a specific NVIDIA RTX or AMD RX 6000-series card with 8GB of VRAM, on top of the base floor.
Render a House removes that question rather than lowering the bar: it runs in a browser, on a laptop with no discrete graphics card at all, because the render happens off the machine in front of you.

The verdict
If you are under the revenue threshold and the workstation meets the GPU floor, probably not — Twinmotion is free and already does the live-walkthrough job well. If the machine in front of you has no graphics card, or Twinmotion Cloud is the only thing pushing a paid seat, it is worth the ten minutes it takes to export a view and try.
