Gemini Pricing 2026: Free, AI Plus ($4.99), AI Pro ($19.99) & AI Ultra ($99.99)

Google Gemini is free with a Google Account. Paid plans in the US are Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month, Google AI Pro at $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, and Google AI Ultra at $99.99 or $199.99 a month. Eligible US college students get AI Pro free for a year, and the Gemini API is billed per token. For architecture, Render a House is the more efficient alternative: it renders from your own design in the browser with no GPU; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Gemini Pricing 2026: Free, AI Plus ($4.99), AI Pro ($19.99) & AI Ultra ($99.99)

Quick answer

Quick answer: Free is $0 a month, AI Plus is $4.99 a month, AI Pro is $19.99 a month (or $199.99 billed annually), and AI Ultra starts at $99.99 a month for 5x AI Pro usage, or $199.99 a month for 20x, per Google’s Gemini subscriptions page. Monthly prices, usage multipliers, Flow credits and storage per the Gemini subscriptions page; the AI Pro annual price per Google One plans and pricing. The subscriptions page does not say which Ultra tier gets 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits. Plans are personal: Google says AI Pro and Ultra require a personal Google Account and are for users over 18, and the Google AI plans page lists family sharing with up to five others. Commercial-use terms for generated images: Not published (checked October 2026) on these plan pages.

What each Gemini plan includes

Free — $0

The free Gemini app includes the Flash-Lite model, image generation and editing, Deep Research, Gemini Live, Canvas, Gems, Gemini Notebook, limited access to Nano Banana Pro through Google Flow, and 15 GB of storage. Limits are compute-based: Google’s footnote says they depend on prompt complexity, features and chat length, refresh every 5 hours and stop at a weekly cap.

Google AI Plus — $4.99/mo

AI Plus adds the Flash model, 2x the free usage limits, video generation, 200 Google Flow credits, more Nano Banana in Search, Gemini in Gmail and Vids, and 400 GB of storage. One conflict to know about: Google One’s plans page also lists a “Google AI Plus (2 TB)” plan at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, while the Gemini subscriptions page and the Google AI plans page show AI Plus at $4.99 a month with 400 GB. Check the price at checkout for your account.

Google AI Pro — $19.99/mo

AI Pro adds Gemini 4 Argon, the Pro model, 4x the free usage limits, 1,000 Flow credits, Jules and Google Antigravity entry limits, Gemini in Gmail, Docs and Vids, Gemini in Chrome, YouTube Premium Lite, Google Home Premium Standard and 5 TB of storage. The Google AI plans page adds 200 Google Colab compute units and $10 a month in Google Cloud credits through the Google Developer Program.

Google AI Ultra — from $99.99/mo

Ultra comes in two tiers: $99.99 a month for 5x AI Pro usage and $199.99 a month for 20x. Both add the highest access to Gemini 4 Argon and the Pro and Flash models, early features such as Tasks in Gemini in select countries, 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits, Project Genie, the YouTube Premium individual plan, Google Home Premium Advanced and storage from 20 TB. The Google AI plans page lists 2,000 Colab compute units and $40 a month in Google Cloud credits.

Monthly vs annual billing

Google One’s plans page has a Monthly/Annual toggle. Billed annually, AI Pro (5 TB) is $199.99 a year instead of 12 × $19.99 = $239.88, so you save $39.89 (about $16.67 a month). The same toggle lists AI Plus (2 TB) at $99.99 a year. Annual prices for the $4.99 AI Plus and for AI Ultra: Not published (checked October 2026). Google says you can cancel anytime, with no refunds for partial billing periods except where the law requires.

Student and education pricing

Per Google’s Gemini for students page, eligible U.S. college students aged 18+ get Google AI Pro free for 1 year, including 4x usage limits and 5 TB of storage. You can redeem it until December 31, 2026, a valid payment method is required at sign-up, eligibility must be verified each year, and AI Pro charges $19.99 a month after the free period unless you cancel. Student offers outside the US: Not published (checked October 2026). A general free trial for AI Plus, Pro or Ultra is not listed on the subscriptions page either.

Gemini for business

Teams don’t buy AI Pro seats. The Business tab of the subscriptions page lists Gemini Enterprise Business edition from $21 per seat per month for up to 300 seats, with a trial, and Standard and Plus editions from $30 per seat per month through sales, with unlimited seats. Whether those seat prices assume monthly or annual commitment: Not published (checked October 2026).

Gemini API pricing

Developers pay separately. The Gemini Developer API pricing page has a Free tier (limited models, content used to improve Google’s products), a Paid tier billed per 1 million tokens with a 50% cheaper Batch API, and an Enterprise tier through sales.

Grounding with Google Search includes 5,000 free requests a month shared across Gemini 3 and newer models, then $14 per 1,000. For the image model in detail, see our Nano Banana pricing page.

What costs extra

  • More usage. The subscriptions page says you can extend app limits by buying AI credits; the credit price is not published (checked october 2026) on that page.
  • Moving to Ultra 20x. The higher Ultra tier doubles the price from $99.99 to $199.99 a month.
  • Team seats. Business use runs on Gemini Enterprise from $21 per seat per month, not consumer plans.
  • API usage. Tokens, search grounding and images are metered separately from any app subscription.

When Gemini makes sense, and when it doesn’t

Gemini makes sense if you want one assistant for writing, research, email and quick image or video ideas, and the bundled storage and Google apps replace something you already pay for. AI Pro at $19.99 a month, or free for a year as a US student, is the plan most people compare against ChatGPT; our ChatGPT vs Gemini comparison covers that choice for renders.

Consider an alternative when the image has to be your building. Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and starts from your own design: a SketchUp .skp uploaded directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. Renders take about 30–60 seconds, and a bad render gets up to 2 free retries.

The free plan gives 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, no card required. Pro is $39/mo billed monthly or $312/yr ($26/mo billed annually) with 240 credits a month. A 1K render costs 1 credit, 2K costs 1.5, and 4K is on Pro. Video is on paid plans only. There are no team seats or roles, but you can share a project by email with edit access, and support is in the app chat or the support page. Estimate a project with the render cost calculator or see plans.
