Ideogram Pricing 2026: Free, Plus ($20/mo), Pro ($60/mo) & Team ($30/user)

Ideogram costs $20 a month for Plus, $60 a month for Pro and $30 per user a month for Team when billed monthly, or $15, $42 and $20 a month billed yearly. The free plan gives eligible accounts 30 credits a week, and every paid plan is a monthly credit allowance rather than a number of images. For architecture, Render a House is the more efficient alternative: it renders from your own design in the browser with no GPU; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Ideogram Pricing 2026: Free, Plus ($20/mo), Pro ($60/mo) & Team ($30/user)

Quick answer

Quick answer: Plus is $20/mo billed monthly ($180/yr billed yearly) with 2,400 credits a month, Pro is $60/mo ($504/yr) with 7,500 credits, Team is $30 per user/mo ($240 per user/yr) with 3,600 credits per user and a two-user minimum, and Enterprise is custom, per Ideogram’s Plans and Credits page and its pricing page. Figures per Plans and Credits, which says prices are in US dollars before tax and that yearly plans still receive their credits each month, not all at once. Privacy per the same page: Plus, Pro, Team and Enterprise keep new images private until you publish them. The older Basic plan ($8/mo, or $7/mo billed yearly) is no longer sold; existing subscribers keep it with 960 credits a month.

What each Ideogram plan includes

Free — $0

Per Sign In and Accounts, only Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-ins get 30 free credits a week; email-and-password accounts get none. Free images are public, and without a paid plan the Download guide limits you to JPEG at the original size (transparent images as a 1K PNG), with no upscaled sizes.

Plus — $20/mo

2,400 priority credits a month, private generation, quality export, unlimited slow credits, unlimited character consistency and a larger generation queue, per the pricing page, which lists 8 running and queued generations at once.

Pro — $60/mo

7,500 priority credits a month, everything in Plus, Batch Generation, the largest generation queue (32 running and queued generations) and what Ideogram calls the best cost per credit. The comparison table also lists limited custom model training on Pro.

Team — $30/user/mo

Per the Team Plan guide, Team costs $30 per user a month, or $20 per user a month billed yearly, with a minimum of two users, so the smallest team is $60 a month or $480 a year. Each member gets 3,600 credits a month that belong to that member; credits are not pooled and cannot move between members. Only the owner manages billing and tops up members’ credits.

Enterprise — custom

Enterprise Postpaid is a negotiated agreement through sales, with custom credits, private custom models and volume API discounts. Per Enterprise Prepaid, there is also a self-serve prepaid workspace where members share one organization balance bought in advance. Enterprise prices: Not published (checked October 2026).

How Ideogram credits work

Every image, video, edit, upscale and app run costs credits, and the cost depends on the model and rendering setting. The pricing page publishes these per-image costs:

Ideogram credits per image by model and rendering setting, with images per month on Plus and Pro
Model and settingCredits / imageImages / mo on PlusImages / mo on Pro
Ideogram 4.5 Very Low (with source images)0.83,0009,375
Ideogram 4.5 Low38002,500
Ideogram 4.5 Medium64001,250
Ideogram 4.5 High10240750
Ideogram 4.5 High (with source images)22109340
Ideogram 4.0 (2K) Quality10240750
Upscale 1.0 (paid plans only)64001,250

The image counts are our division of each plan’s credits by the published cost, before edits, retries or upscales. Per Plans and Credits, monthly credits reset on the renewal date and do not roll over. When they run out, Plus, Pro and Team keep generating with Ideogram models in a slower queue with no limit, but custom models, partner models, generations with a reference image, image edits and upscales still need credits. Free and pay-as-you-go accounts need credits for every generation.

Per credit, Plus works out to $0.0083 billed monthly and $0.0063 billed yearly; Pro to $0.0080 and $0.0056; pay as you go is $0.01.

Monthly vs yearly billing

Ideogram monthly versus yearly billing, cost over 12 months
Plan12 × monthlyYearly priceYou save
Plus$240$180$60 (25%)
Pro$720$504$216 (30%)
Team (per user)$360$240$120 (33%)

The pricing page advertises “up to 33% off” for yearly billing; only Team reaches it. Yearly is paid upfront, renews automatically, and per Renewals and Billing Cycles you must cancel at least 5 days before the renewal date. Because Ideogram doesn’t offer refunds on subscriptions, renewals or credits, monthly billing is the safer way to test whether you will use the credits.

What costs extra

  • Top-up credits. Per Buying Extra Credits, one credit costs one US cent; one-time purchases run from $1 to $300, auto recharge is optional, and bought credits expire 365 days after purchase. Team owners buy member credits at 400 per $4, $20 to $200 at a time.
  • Upscales and edits. Per the Upscale guide, the Upscale app needs a paid plan or bought credits and Upscale & download needs a paid plan; both spend credits, as do image edits, even once a paid plan is on the slow queue.
  • Tax. Prices exclude tax, which is added at checkout by billing address, per the pricing page FAQ.
  • Payment. Cards through Stripe; the pricing FAQ says PayPal and other digital wallets are not available.
  • API. The API shares your personal credit balance; Enterprise volume API discounts are billed separately and not published.

Student pricing, discounts and trials

Student or education pricing: Not published (checked October 2026). The FAQ on the pricing page says Ideogram does not offer discounts or free trials for subscription plans; the weekly free credits for eligible accounts are the only free option. On commercial use, the same FAQ says Ideogram does not claim ownership of generated images and you are free to use them for any purpose, including commercial use, subject to its Terms of Service (the help center FAQ asks you to read them first).

When Ideogram makes sense, and when it doesn’t

Ideogram makes sense when the image needs legible text or graphic design: competition boards, posters, project announcements, logos and transparent-background assets. Plus at $20/mo with unlimited slow generations is a fair price for that kind of work, and Pro’s Batch Generation suits teams producing many variants.

It is weaker value when the image has to show a specific building. Ideogram is a general image model: you describe a scene or upload a reference, and a High generation with source images costs 22 credits, so retries to recover your massing or window rhythm add up quickly.

Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and renders from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. Renders take about 30–60 seconds, a bad render gets up to 2 free retries, and projects can be shared by email with edit access.

Common questions about Ideogram pricing

How much does Ideogram cost per month?

Ideogram’s Plans and Credits page lists Plus at $20/month, Pro at $60/month and Team at $30 per user/month billed monthly. Billed yearly they cost $15, $42 and $20 per user a month ($180, $504 and $240 per user a year). Enterprise is custom. Prices are in US dollars before tax.

Is Ideogram free?

There is a free plan: accounts that sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft get 30 credits a week, and everything generated on it is public. Email-and-password accounts get no free credits. Ideogram’s pricing FAQ says it does not offer free trials of subscription plans.

How many images do you get with Ideogram Plus?

Ideogram meters credits, not images. Plus includes 2,400 credits a month. At the published costs that is about 400 Ideogram 4.5 images at Medium (6 credits each) or 109 at High with source images (22 credits each). After the credits run out, Plus keeps generating with Ideogram models in a slower queue, but reference images, edits and upscales still need credits.

Does Ideogram have student or education pricing?

Not published (checked October 2026). Ideogram’s pricing FAQ says it does not offer discounts or free trials for subscription plans, and its help center lists no education plan.

Is Ideogram cheaper than Render a House?

It depends on the job. An Ideogram Plus credit costs about $0.0083 billed monthly, and a High image with source images uses 22 credits. Render a House starts free with 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, and Pro is $39/month billed monthly or $312/year. The difference is the input: Render a House renders your own SketchUp, GLB, OBJ or STL model, sketch or photo, while Ideogram is a general image model driven by prompts and reference images.
