What each Kling plan includes
Basic (free)
Basic costs nothing. Kling’s plan FAQ says non-subscribers get monthly free credits on login, valid for 31 days, without stating how many (Not published, checked October 2026). The comparison table caps Basic at 1 video per generation and 30 element creations, and leaves out 1080p/4K video, 4K images, upscaling, watermark removal and commercial use. The FAQ also mentions 7-day trial credits and a 7-day pass; their prices are not published on the membership page (checked October 2026).
Standard
660 credits a month, $6.99 for the first month and $8.80 a month after, or $79.20 a year. Standard already includes the paid benefits that matter for client work: 1080p/4K video, brand watermark removal, commercial use of generated content, unlimited queued tasks, fast-track generation and up to 4 videos per generation.
Pro
3,000 credits a month for $32.56 a month ($25.99 the first month) or $293.04 a year. Pro adds priority access to new features, 150 element creations and, during the current promotion, 10% off Kling 4.0 generations.
Premier and Ultra+
Premier is one tier sold in four credit sizes, 8,000, 18,000, 28,000 and 38,000 credits a month, which Kling’s FAQ treats as equal in priority. Ultra+ is the top individual plan with 57,000 credits for $544.99 a month or $4,902.99 a year, plus beta-test invites and, on annual billing, early access to Kling 4.0 Flash. Element creations go up to 150 on Premier and 500 on Ultra+.
Team Plan
Kling’s Team Plan page lists $98 per seat a month billed monthly, or $73 per seat a month billed yearly ($876 per seat for 12 months), each seat with 10,000 credits a month. The default quote on the page is 3 seats: $294 a month or $2,628 a year for 30,000 team credits a month. It adds project collaboration, role-based asset sharing and data isolation, and is sold on the Kling website only, not on mobile.
Annual vs monthly math
| Plan | 12 × monthly | Yearly price | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $105.60 | $79.20 | $26.40 (25%) |
| Pro | $390.72 | $293.04 | $97.68 (25%) |
| Premier 8K | $971.52 | $728.64 | $242.88 (25%) |
| Premier 18K | $2,183.88 | $1,639.99 | $543.89 (25%) |
| Premier 28K | $3,407.88 | $2,550.99 | $856.89 (25%) |
| Premier 38K | $4,523.88 | $3,389.99 | $1,133.89 (25%) |
| Ultra+ | $6,539.88 | $4,902.99 | $1,636.89 (25%) |
Our arithmetic from the membership page prices, which show the same savings figures. Yearly billing is paid upfront and auto-renews. Monthly credits still arrive once a month and expire 31 days after they are issued, so an annual plan does not let you bank a year of credits.
What costs extra
- Credit top-ups. Kling’s Credits Policy sets the standard rate at $1 = 66 credits. The membership page sells $5 = 330, $10 = 660, $20 = 1,320, $50 = 3,500, $100 = 7,500, $200 = 16,000, $600 = 48,000, $1,200 = 96,000 credits, with the larger packs labelled a limited-time bonus offer. Purchased credits are valid for 2 years and are non-refundable.
- Credits don’t unlock features. Per the Credits Policy, fast-track generation, 1080p video, watermark removal, video extension and image upscaling are premium-only, so buying credits on Basic does not remove the watermark.
- Per-video credit cost. The membership page does not list how many credits a video costs in the app; the Credits Policy says it depends on output count, model, duration and resolution and is shown in the interface. Not published (checked October 2026).
- Failed generations. Credits are refunded if a generation fails, per the Credits Policy.
Kling API pricing
The API is billed separately in prepaid units, per Kling’s API pricing page. Video units list at $0.14 each and image units at $0.0035.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Video packages (180-day validity, no rollover) | $700 for 5,000 units, $2,100 for 15,000, then $3,780 / $5,670 / $7,560 for 30,000 / 45,000 / 60,000 units ($0.126 per unit) |
| Kling 3.0 video, no native audio | 0.6 units/s at 720p ($0.084), 0.8 at 1080p ($0.112), 3.0 at 4K ($0.42) |
| Kling 3.0 video, native audio | 0.9 units/s at 720p ($0.126), 1.2 at 1080p ($0.168), 3.0 at 4K ($0.42) |
| Kling Image 3.0 | 8 units ($0.028) per 1K/2K image |
| Kling Image 3.0-omni at 4K | 16 units ($0.056) per image |
| Kling 4.0 API | Not yet available; preview pricing only |
For scale, a 5-second 1080p Kling 3.0 clip without audio is 5 × $0.112 = $0.56 of API units, but the smallest package is $700.
Student and education pricing
Not published (checked October 2026). Kling’s membership, team and credits pages list no student or education discount; the only reductions shown are the first-period promotions and yearly billing.
When Kling makes sense, and when it doesn’t
Kling makes sense when the job is video: animating a still, generating clips from prompts and reference images, or producing social and marketing footage. Standard at $8.80 a month is a cheap way to get watermark-free 1080p and commercial rights.
Consider an alternative when the image has to show a specific building you already designed. Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and starts from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. Renders take about 30–60 seconds, and a bad render gets up to 2 free retries.
Free is 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, no card required. Pro is $39/mo billed monthly or $312/yr ($26/mo billed annually) for 240 credits a month, with 4K. Video is on paid plans only at 0.8 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 4 credits, about $0.65 on Pro billed monthly. There are no team seats, but projects can be shared by email with edit access, and help is on the support page and in the in-app chat. Estimate a project with the render cost calculator or compare plans on the pricing page.

- Kling’s membership page lists Standard at $8.80, Pro at $32.56, Premier at $80.96 to $376.99 depending on the credit tier, and Ultra+ at $544.99 per month billed monthly, after a discounted first month for new subscribers. Basic is free. Checked October 2026.
Is Kling AI free?
- Yes, the Basic plan is $0. Kling’s plan FAQ says non-subscribers can claim monthly free credits on login, valid for 31 days, but the amount is not published on the membership page (checked October 2026). 1080p/4K video, watermark removal and commercial use are paid-plan benefits.
How much cheaper is Kling billed yearly?
- About 25% off the monthly renewal price. Standard is $79.20 a year ($6.60/mo) against $105.60 for twelve monthly payments, and Pro is $293.04 a year against $390.72.
Can I buy Kling credits without a subscription?
- Yes. Kling’s Credits Policy sets the standard rate at $1 = 66 credits, and the membership page sells packs from $5 (330 credits) to $1,200 (96,000 credits with a limited-time bonus). Purchased credits last 2 years but do not unlock subscriber features such as watermark removal or 1080p video.
Does Kling have student pricing?

Is Kling or Render a House better for architectural renders?
