Luma AI Pricing 2026: Plus ($30), Pro ($90) & Ultra ($300) for Dream Machine

Luma AI’s Dream Machine app costs $30, $90 or $300 a month for its Plus, Pro and Ultra plans billed monthly, or $25, $75 and $250 a month billed yearly. Each plan is a monthly credit allowance spent on Luma’s own Ray and Uni models and on third-party models such as Kling, Veo and Seedance. For architecture, Render a House is the more efficient alternative: it renders from your own design in the browser with no GPU; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Luma AI Pricing 2026: Plus ($30), Pro ($90) & Ultra ($300) for Dream Machine

Quick answer

Quick answer: per Luma’s Plans & Pricing page, Plus is $30/month with 10,000 credits and commercial use, Pro is $90/month with 40,000 credits, and Ultra is $300/month with 150,000 credits. Yearly billing drops them to $25, $75 and $250 a month ($300, $900 and $3,000 a year). Team and Enterprise are quote-only, and the API is billed separately per clip or image. If you need a render of your own building rather than a generated clip, Render a House is the more efficient alternative for architecture, a no-GPU, browser-based option that renders from your own design; failed renders don't use credits, and each render includes up to 2 free retries if the result isn't right.

Figures per the Luma pricing page with its Monthly / Yearly toggle. Per-seat pricing for Team: Not published (checked October 2026). The page lists no resolution cap per plan; resolution is priced through credits instead (see below).

What each Luma plan includes

Plus — $30/mo

10,000 credits a month, access to Luma and third-party image and video models, edit access for guest collaborators, and commercial use, per the pricing page.

Pro — $90/mo

Everything in Plus with 40,000 credits and 4x usage with Luma Agents. Per credit it is cheaper than Plus: $90 ÷ 40,000 = $0.00225 versus $0.0030 on Plus.

Ultra — $300/mo

Everything in Pro with 150,000 credits and 15x usage with Luma Agents, or $0.0020 per credit billed monthly.

Team and Enterprise

Team adds member management, team projects and sharing, usage analytics, shared team credits and SSO. Enterprise adds enterprise commitments, dedicated training and custom fine-tuning. Both are “Contact us” on the pricing page; no prices are published.

What the credits buy

Credits are spent per generation and the cost depends on model, resolution and length. A few examples from the pricing page credit tables, with our dollar conversion at the Plus monthly rate of $0.0030 per credit:

Example Luma credit costs per generation, converted at the Plus monthly rate
GenerationCredits≈ Cost on PlusPer 10,000 Plus credits
Ray3.14 image-to-video, 5 s at 720p100$0.30100 clips
Ray3.14 image-to-video, 5 s at 1080p400$1.2025 clips
Ray3.2 text/image-to-video, 5 s at 1080p (SDR)400$1.2025 clips
Uni-1 image (create or modify)30$0.09333 images
Nano Banana Pro image at 4K53$0.16188 images
Upscale video with Luma to 4K, per second25$0.07400 seconds

HDR output on Ray3.14 costs 4× the SDR rate, and on Ray3.2 HDR is 2× and HDR + EXR 3×. Luma’s FAQ says monthly credits reset each billing cycle, unused credits expire, and credits for failed generations are returned (see the product FAQ). Its Stop Wasting Credits guide adds that rejected outputs are still billed.

Monthly vs yearly billing

The pricing page says “Save up to 20% with yearly”, but the published numbers work out to 16.7% on every plan: Plus is $30 × 12 = $360 a year monthly versus $300 yearly (save $60), Pro is $1,080 versus $900 (save $180), and Ultra is $3,600 versus $3,000 (save $600). Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term at Luma’s then-current rates unless you cancel before the renewal date, per Luma’s Terms of Service.

Free use, trial and education pricing

The current pricing page lists no free plan or trial; the cheapest plan is Plus at $30/month. The product page still has a “Try now for free” button, and Luma’s Payments & Subscriptions help article (updated January 2026) describes a free tier limited to Photon images, draft-resolution Ray3.14 video and watermarked 720p images for personal use. Its Licensing article says free output carries a watermark that stays even after upgrading. The current free credit allowance: Not published (checked October 2026).

Student or education pricing: Not published (checked October 2026). Luma’s Education Program page is an application form for educators and an interest form for student ambassadors.

Luma API pricing

The API is billed separately: the help center says Dream Machine subscriptions and credits do not apply to it. Per the Luma API page, the Build tier is pay-per-use with no minimum commitment, and Scale is dedicated capacity with an SLA, a minimum of 4 units and quote-only pricing.

Luma API Build tier prices (SDR output), October 2026
Task540p720p1080p
Ray3.2 text/image-to-video, 5 s$0.15$0.30$1.20
Ray3.2 text/image-to-video, 10 s$0.45$0.90$3.60
Ray3.2 video-to-video, 5 s$0.72$1.44$2.16
Ray3.2 reframe, per second$0.06$0.12$0.36

HDR output is 2× and HDR + EXR 3× the SDR price, and video is billed per 5-second block. Uni-1.1 images at 2K cost about $0.0404 each for text-to-image and $0.0434 for an edit ($0.1000 and $0.1030 on Uni-1.1 Max); Luma notes the image prices are approximate and based on billing tokens. Luma’s API FAQ says failed generations are refunded and API output has no watermark and may be used commercially.

What costs extra

  • Going over your credits. Luma’s FAQ says you can set an additional spending limit (On-Demand Spend) in your account settings; Luma pauses when you hit it. A per-credit top-up price is Not published (checked October 2026).
  • Higher resolution, HDR and 4K upscales cost more credits per second, as in the table above.
  • Refunds. Per the Terms of Service, fees are final and non-refundable unless Luma decides otherwise.
  • Commercial rights need an active paid plan. The terms say output can be used commercially only if it was made during an active paid subscription that allows it.
  • Payment. The help center lists Stripe checkout with cards, bank payments and Cash App Pay on the web.

When Luma makes sense, and when to look elsewhere

Luma makes sense when the deliverable is a generated clip or image: marketing motion, mood films, or animating a still you already have. Plus at $30/month covers about 100 five-second Ray3.14 clips at 720p, and the API suits developers who want per-clip billing.

It is a weaker fit when the image must show your exact building. Render a House is an AI rendering tool for architects and real estate. It runs in the browser with no GPU and renders from your own design: upload a SketchUp .skp directly, a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or STL model, a sketch, a photo, or a plan exported to PNG/JPG. A render takes about 30–60 seconds, and a bad one gets up to 2 free retries.

Render a House starts free with 3 credits a day at 1K with a watermark, no card required. Pro is $39/month billed monthly or $312/year ($26/month billed annually) with 240 credits a month; a 1K render is 1 credit, 4K is 2 and only on Pro, and video (paid plans only) is 0.8 credits per second. There are no team seats or roles, but projects can be shared by email with edit access, and support is in the app chat or on the support page. Estimate a project with the render cost calculator or see plans.
